Reiki for Pets
Probably even better than people, animals recognise Reiki and what it can do to help them. They lack that wall of scepticism that so many human beings seem to pride themselves on having. And that was distant Reiki!
I have felt drawn to pets and other animals for much of my life, especially to dogs. Many's the time I've heard an owner say to me, "Oh my, he likes you, doesn't he! He's never usually as friendly as that with strangers!"
So, if you feel your cat or dog would benefit from the healing energy of Reiki then please contact me.
The general rules of a Reiki practice for people apply also to animals (and their owners).
- I don't diagnose problems; I offer treatment.
- Just as there are situations where I would advise a client to see their GP, so, with animals, I would advise their owners to see the vet.
- Reiki is a integrative therapy, not an alternative therapy. In other words, treatment from me would be in addition to the vet's prescribed medication and treatment. Not a replacement for it. (My own GP, for example, is aware that I am a Reiki therapist, and that I treat myself in addition to whatever medication or treatment he might prescribe for me.)
My services are available mainly to the smaller domestic pets, such as dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, lizards. For them, either contact or distant Reiki would be appropriate.
I live in Darlington, in County Durham, and am able to treat these animals at my home. But if you feel that your pet would prefer a visit at your own home, that is possible. (As I don't drive, we would need to discuss that.)
For larger animals (horses, for instance), I can offer distant Reiki only.
Because the attention span of animals is somewhat less than ours, I would be doing sessions of half an hour only, at a cost of £12.50 per session.
