Reiki Courses with Reiki Ken

I ran my first Level 1 course in August 2017, and it was a real success!   The students who completed it then went on to do their Level 2 with me in 2019, and finally did their Level 3 in January of the following year, 2020.

Would you like to learn how to do Reiki yourself?
It’s simple and straight forward.
It’s not academic, it’s not complicated.
If you have a desire to help other people, then these courses are for you!

What can Reiki itself do for you?
It relaxes you, and speeds up your body’s natural healing process.
I’ve been using it since 1998, and couldn’t do without it in my life.
So, would you like to learn how to do Reiki yourself?
I can teach you!

What do former students of mine think about my courses?
Claire said – Ken, I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for such a fantastic [Reiki Level 1 teaching] weekend. You are a wonderful teacher and I’m so proud to have been one of your first students! Reiki has had a profound effect on my health and well being. Looking forward to Level 2!
[She went on to do her Level 3 with me.]

Karen said – The Level 1 course was an amazing weekend, with unbelievable experiences.  After my attunement took place, I felt that something really special happened to me within.  It gave me such an incredible high as though all negative energy had been removed, replaced by loving, warm, really happy positive vibes.  I felt loaded with good feeling, it has certainly changed my life for the better.  I now practice Reiki on others, and I can actually feel the Reiki energy run through my palms as it runs through me.  I love being part of my Reiki group and learning from my humble kind Master Reiki Ken, sharing his knowledge and wisdom.  It’s an extraordinary journey.  Bring on Level 2!
[And, yes, she went on to do her Level 3 with me, as well.]

What courses do I offer you?
Reiki courses that will take you from being a beginner at Level 1, on to Level 2, and finally to being a Reiki Master/Teacher at Level 3 (only if you choose to go that far, of course).

Do I run online Reiki courses?
All my courses are run here, live, face to face, at my premises in Darlington, Co Durham.  At the moment, I have no plans to do any courses online; in making that decision I am following the guidelines laid down for this matter by the UK Reiki Council and the UK Reiki Federation.
Please note that some organisations like the NHS will not recognise an online Reiki course qualification.  Some Reiki Masters, also, will not recognise an online Reiki course qualification.
As for me, my mind is open; if you want to do a Level 2 course, for instance, with me, having done an online Level 1 course, elsewhere, I will need to see your qualification and discuss the online course content with you before before I accept such an online Reiki course qualification.

Where do I run my courses, and when?
My courses are run here at my home in Darlington, Co Durham.
I take a minimum of one person per course (but two is preferable – and better for you), and up to a maximum of four people.
They take place on a Saturday and Sunday, between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm, and then on the following two Thursday evenings, between 7.00 and 9.00 pm.  You will be awarded your specially designed personal certificate on the second of those two Thursday evenings.
The courses for all three Levels follow this format.

Why should you learn from me?

  • I am a qualified Reiki Master Teacher, and you will be tapping into my knowledge and experience of Reiki, gained since 1998, when I did my own Level 1.
  • I am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the UK’s leading regulatory body for complementary therapies and therapists.
  • I am running a new Reiki research project with Reiki Home, an international Reiki organisation based in the USA; I will give more details when the work has been finalised.
  • I was a Master Teacher member of the UK Reiki Federation (UKRF) from 2010 to 2019.
  • I was also Research Co-ordinator for the UKRF from 2015 to 2019.
  • I was a member of the UKRF’s Management Committee from 2017 to 2018.
  • I was seconded to the Reiki Council in my UKRF Research capacity, from 2015 to 2019.
  • I am also a qualified training instructor (with a City & Guild 926 Adult Trainers qualification).

What course content will I teach you on these courses?
I will give you a free copy of “The Reiki Manual”, and, together, we will work from that, as our course text book.
It is written by a leading British authority on Reiki, Penelope Quest.
For more information on Ms Quest click here, and for more information about The Reiki Manual click here.

Is there support for you after the course is finished?
Yes, there is!
I run a social/support group for those of my students who want to build on the knowledge gained on the course(s), and who want to widen their Reiki social circle.
We meet here at my home in Darlington, one evening a month, between 6.00 and 9.00 pm.
One month it is a Reiki Share group; a social evening (with free refreshments) where we chat about anything to do with Reiki (and whatever!), and we also do Reiki on each other, under my guidance.
The following month is Reattunement Evening.  Following the lead of William Lee Rand (of the International Centre for Reiki Training, ICRT, in the USA), on this evening I will reattune you to your current Reiki Level.
(With, again, free refreshments.)
And we also do Reiki on each other, again, under my guidance.
The month after that we are back to Reiki Share Evening.
We also keep in touch with each other on our very own private WhatsApp group.
Please note, however, my Reiki Share/Reattunement Group is available only to those who have done any of my Reiki courses.

How much are the courses?
For all information about my course prices (and how you can pay them in installments), the information is the section Course Fees, in bold and italics towards the foot of the Reiki Courses page of my website.

So, do you want to learn how to do Reiki?
